Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield Half Marathon/5K/10K/Kids Fun Run will start at 11:00 a.m. on March 29th. All runners will receive a unique medal, and the first 100 HM registrants will receive a free long sleeve shirt, and the first 150 10k/5k registrants will receive a free short sleeve shirt. Everyone will have access to the post-race party in our gym, where results will also be posted. The post-race party will include pasta, salad & soup! The Westfield Half started in 1994 when a group of runners from the Empire One Running Club approached the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield with the idea of a half marathon fundraiser. Since then, we have seen the Westfield Half grow from 142 to well over 600 runners. In 2011, there were nearly 1,000 participants! We have also added a 10K, 5K run/walk race and children’s race as well. Since that first race 30 years ago, this event has raised ~$300,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield
