Let's Learn About England!
History:
Did you know … The first Britons (people who live in the United Kingdom) were the Picts, who arrived about 10,000 years ago. In the eighth century B.C., the Celts arrived from Europe and pushed the Picts north into Scotland. In A.D. 43, the Romans invaded and ruled for nearly 400 years. By the sixth century A.D., German peoples known as Angles, Jutes, and Saxons were moving into Britain. The Angles gave their name to England, and English people became known as Anglo-Saxons. In 1485 the Welsh noble Henry Tudor claimed the English crown and became Henry VII, the first of five Tudor monarchs.

Here are some videos of England...
The traditional food of England has long been recognized for its simplicity of ingredients and flavor. However, because of England’s complex history of people from all over the world having settled in the country, many flavors and techniques are used to make their simple, but flavorful dishes. The Sunday Roast is a traditional British main meal that is typically served on Sunday (hence the name), consisting of roasted meat, roast potatoes, or mashed potatoes, and accompaniments such as Yorkshire Pudding, stuffing, gravy and mint sauce. Vegetables such as cauliflower, roast parsnips, brussel sprouts, peas, carrots, runner beans, and broccoli, can be part of the dish. But, it’s the classic Fish and Chips that is the British national dish that everyone can't help but love.
