Hello Kidz Klub!
Passover is one of the three major Jewish holidays celebrated every year. It is an eight day festival set in early spring. This year, Passover began at sundown April 8 and will last until sundown April 16, 2020. Today is the first full day of Passover.
I spent hours learning about this very special Jewish holiday. What I learned was quite captivating: how Passover came to be, the importance and meaning of each day of Passover, celebrated traditions, and the symbolic foods served at a Passover Seder.
In the Learning Center, you will learn about the History of Passover, Passover Traditions, and Seder Foods from symbolic foods to popular dishes. And for today only, I replaced Laughter is the Best Medicine with Passover Kids Games, a resource page. In Miss Charisse’s Book Club there are links to a read aloud story, videos, and Passover songs to listen to. And my recipe of the day for Master Chef, Junior is a popular Seder recipe … Homemade Matzoh or Matzo (a thin, crisp leavened bread).
To all my friends celebrating Passover I say to you, ‘Mazel Tov’, which is a common and widely used Jewish phrase expressing congratulations for a significant occasion or event.
Be Safe. Be healthy. Enjoy!
Take good care.
Miss Charisse
