Hello Kidz Klub!
Happy Friday one and all! Just like you, I’m missing being with my friends! Thank goodness for computers, and cell phones, and iPads, and all other devices out there that we can use to keep in ‘virtual’ touch with our friends! I’ve been using a laptop Miss Ashley has let me borrow to stay connected with all of you while I’m home staying healthy and safe. I’ll be honest, I’m not so good at technology so it has been a challenge to navigate through this wonderful world of ‘the web’! I’m happy to share that each day I am learning something new. It’s just like being back to school for me, and I am enjoying it!
However, just like how all of you need your teachers to help guide you through your online lessons, I also needed help and Miss Jocelyn has come to my rescue … many, many times! So, I decided to dedicate today’s Kidz Klub Connection in honor of my colleague and friend (and my computer guru), Miss Jocelyn! I’m sure many of you know how much Miss Jocelyn LOVES Halloween. I decided to make all of today’s activities be HALLOWEEN themed!
Enjoy!
Be Safe. Be healthy. Make good choices.
Take good care.
Miss Charisse

KINDERGARTEN and FIRST GRADE LEVELS
When it comes to teaching your kindergarteners the sounds of letters like B, F, and L, you can’t beat this monster letter song. This is a great review for first graders, too! Not only is the music catchy but the dance moves these little monster letters use to showcase their sounds are totally enthralling. You might want to get up and dance along while calling out the sounds.
Yum, candy! Make multiplication a little sweeter with this candy shop array. By listening to the narrator, second graders can find candy jars containing the correct multiplication array. To do so, they'll count rows and columns, gaining understanding of one-digit multiplication in the process. Also great for third graders, this math game is a tasty way for kids to practice multiplication
This geometry game challenges students to try their hand at treasure map graphing on a coordinate plane. Students are asked to enter the (x.y) coordinates to help the pirate find all his lost crew and treasure, with the promise of getting a share of the booty for a reward. Thematic visual and auditory cues make learning graphing and data skills into a swashbuckling game. These math skills are essential for the fifth grade curriculum.
