½ cup of canola oil
½ cup of maple syrup or honey
½ teaspoon of salt
3 cups of old – fashioned rolled oats
1 cup of dried fruit (raisins, craisins, bananas etc0
1 cup of nuts (almonds, cashew, walnuts etc.) * optional*
1 cup of chocolate chips *optional*
1. Preheat the over to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Mix oil, honey and salt in a bowl.
3. Add oats, almonds and mix so everything is evenly coated.
4. Spread combination out on baking sheet.
5. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through. The granola will be ready when it is golden brown.
6. After removed, let it cool down and add the fruit and chocolate chips.
7. Enjoy as a snack!
