Core Program Areas

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield provides diverse activities that meet the interests of all youth. Our programs engage young people in activities with adults, peers and family members that enable them to develop self esteem and to reach their full potential. Based on physical, emotional, cultural and social needs and interests of youth, and recognizing developmental principles, we offer programs in Five Core Areas

Character & Leadership Development: programs empower youth to support and influence their Club and community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a positive self-image and good character, participate in the democratic process, and respect their own and others' cultural identities. Programs are offered in our Education Room and Teen Center.

Education & Career Development: programs enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, set goals, explore careers, prepare for employment and embrace technology to achieve success in a career. Programs are offered in our Education Room, Technology Center, and Teen Center.

Health & Life Skills: programs develop young people's capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as adults. Programs are offered in our Education Room, Teen Center, Gym and Kitchen.

The Arts: programs enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing. Learn more about our Fine Arts Studio, Performing Arts programs, and Dance & Theatre Camp
